Beautiful blog design, combined with witty writing. It’s this kind of design and blog style that makes me rethink my not having a blog myself. I love the wood texture, even though in real life this would turn me off. Funny how it works for a web site but not my walls.

Web Without Words. This site takes well known sites and removes images and type from them, reducing them to a framework of boxes. It’s interesting to look at sites this way, and I think a good lesson in layout. This image here is of cnn.com.
Beautiful site. The icon is amazing as well. I really like the way they handled the lists on the site, and the iconography against the dark background makes for small pops of color all down the page.
